I'll be listing a 18 books of various genres, plus the following Bound Volume:

YOUNG MEN #24-28

Very cool bound volume of the superhero run of this title including the key Atlas hero revival book.

The books have been trimmed, but were obviously high grade when bound. The #24 does have a tear at the spine (see pictures) where the binding glue appears to have attached it to the facing page at one point, but all the covers have excellent color and gloss.

Pages are a uniform off-white. There is a 2" piece of tape on one page, that serves no purpose.

A nice way to get the whole run.

$1500 SOLD!

MARVEL MYSTERY #35

Tough to grade, a former owner did an excellent job of repairing a 2 & 1/2" diagonal tear at the bottom left with slivers of tape on the inside so that it looks like a crease from the front.

They also ran tape, once again cut into 1/8" strips along the inside of the spine as reinforcement. It looks like there may have been a couple of splits on the spine . Also done so that you can't tell from the exterior.

It had been graded a restored 3.5 by (redacted) with a notation of a tear seal with glue ( it's about 1/2" long), and small amount of color touch, which I can not find, even with a black light. I think the grade is a tad generous, and due to the nature of the repairs, more like an apparent 3.0

This had been owned by Frank Brunner at one time, and a lot of his books seem to have repair/restoration, so maybe the work was done by him.

Nice eye-appeal considering.

$600  SOLD
