Good eye. Good chance of it, especially at the top. edge, cover and pages, and done none to neatly. Bottom back cover is suspect too.

With suspected trim, you always have to ask, "what was to be gained by it?" In this case, it would be to "square up" the book. Re-align the fanning out of the pages produced by the roll. My feeling is that as easy it is to correct a spine roll, a trim might have been an easier and faster fix so they opted for that solution.
