Is this a printing error? 0

Hi, I come across this copy of ASM 361, otherwise great condition but it has a noticeable vertical line on cover towards the right edge, couldn't work out what caused it.

Would this affect the grade? If yes, how bad is it? Thanks guys!

It looks like ink from a printer roller or something like that. It may keep it from grading at the higher grades but as for me I don't mind that kind of defect.

Printing defect. Keeps it out of Mint/Gem Mint range. Still 9.8 eligible.

Thanks guys, I guess if it's ink from printing, cleaning won't be able to get if off because its part of the cover now, right?

It wont, but this printing defect wont stop you from getting 9.8 if thats all that's wrong with it.

Clean and press and it's a memory. No one wilt know it was ever there.

lies it will forever live in the CGC Comic grading and restoration issues part of the forum... we will all know..

Just ink, could be from build up somewhere, from the heatset oven to build up on an angle bar or from build up on the former board. Don't believe anyone who tells you "it's from an ink roller"  the ink rollers don't touch the paper being printed on.
