Bound on top? Cool!

Yeah, I guess that makes it oddball in it's own right. (Though a few Australian books were bound in landscape format.) It means you have to turn the open book lengthways to start reading.

And, although not comics, I love these old advertising pinbacks that use the product as characters...

Love those oddball mascots. I always thought it was a little disturbing, though, when they had animated edible mascots. Did the mascots not realize they were promoting their own ingestion?

Kid characters: "Um, Mr. Softee, shall we use a spoon or just lick your head?"

This book is “esoteric” only if you don’t understand Hinduism.  One could post thousands upon thousands of such comics from India (just like this one) and be nowhere near done posting.  (shrug)

(Also, if I’m not mistaken,  it’s not a GA era book).

However, it certainly is interesting!

No, it's not GA - please excuse.

You are also right, Garuda is not particularly esoteric to Hindus and Buddhists. I think he is a cool protector unlike most American superheroes. I'd love to see more Garuda comic books if can find them!

BTW, John Keel drew parallels with Garuda legends and West Virginia's legendary Mothman!

There's probably something wrong with me in the head, but when ever I see this one, I see the title as "Suck Chick".

My brain missed the "L" entirely, I read it as Sick Chick lol
