Yeah #19 hands down is a great cover. I like #24 as mentioned as a distant second with a few others as well. As far as covers go Suspense is a bit weaker title than others in the Atlas stable. It is one of the older Pre-Code titles for horror/fantasy coming in 1949 the same year as Amazing Mysteries and Marvel Tales. I don’t think as many people have gotten into #19 though because Suspense isn’t as high profile as many of the other Atlas titles. Maybe it’s dug it’s own grave?lol

When I first started chasing PCH, I grabbed all the Suspense I could find. Something about all those fat 52 page issues made you feel like you were really getting your money’s worth.

Suspense 14 is my favorite in the run and has imho the best in the Atlas corral for hypo-needle covers! Heath-somely great! Not to mention one of the best stories ever published by Atlas.

I think this is the most terrifying cover Atlas ever put out, at least AFA their strictly horror books.

Another #19 in the mix

I got a #20 on hold right now through Mr. Flintstone. #19 I still need. I always thought of #19 and #20 as kind of bookends for some reason. Both by Heath with that “monster coming at ya’” vibe. Two of my favorites….(thumbsu
