Werner Roth did some great stuff for Atlas.  I always thought he was just a clunky X-Men artist, but I was wrong.

'ol Werner Roth, a.k.a. Jay Gavin, was one of the first guys from the Atlas Bullpen that Stan brought back when Marvel's prospects started looking up. I remember wondering who these lucky new guys were ? ...Getting to work for Marvel ? I didn't realize that most of them were grown men who had been around for years. I guess Roy and Steranko were the first two young bucks to come on board. GOD BLESS....

Every now and then I get lucky.... I happened to be on the boards minutes after this book was listed. It's a favorite of many Bill Everett fans and I'm certain it wouldn't have lasted an hour. Very difficult to find in grade. I had a Fine copy that I sold a few years ago and regretted. Now I have to figure out something to sell so I can afford it. Anyway, thanks Chris, a.k.a. That's the kind of book that when I log on and hit the sales forum I go , "Dammit …. sold while I was sleeping !". That's a main drawback to working nights.... I wake up to go to work and all the good stuff is already gone. GOD BLESS....

This one has always been tricky to find in decent shape..... surviving copies were spread a little thinner due to the Kirby story inside, being a target for Kirby completists... yes there was once such a thing. GOD BLESS....
