No my birth year is 1989 which I don’t care much for. Anything from 70s or older works for me:)

No, but I'm still looking. There weren't any comics released that day the year I was born, but I've found May 8 and May 10 that year in the wild. My hope is that someone received a May 8 book a day late. I've seen it before, just not with the date I need. For example, I've seen a May 10 book from that year with both May 10 and May 17 date stamps. So it's possible!

 

I have seen May 9 from other years though.

While I wait to reunite with my date-stamped AF15, and hoping to find a May 9 date stamp for Crimbuster, i found this among my Spideys.  Close but not quite.    Either forgot I had it or overlooked it.  I should keep an actual list of my date stamp books from now on.

I should specify for me, I'm specifically looking for 1973. I have seen May 9 from other years, but 1973 is what I'm looking for. It will just have to be a book released the day before that someone was late to stamp. 😁

I have to share more here. I have some on the back of a lot of comics which I don’t find as neat but I respect wherever did that for putting them in an unobtrusive spot. That being said I still prefer them on the front for displaying purposes:)

So for the Silver Age, what proportion of books were date stamped (and store stamped, if not the same answer)?   If it was usually just the book on top of a newly arrived stack at a newsstand, and only some newsstands engaged in that practice, I am gathering less than 5%?   Perhaps a lot less than that?

Picked this up because I needed this issue and it has the stamp shown.

Anyone know what B2-15 means? I feel like I’ve seen these stamps before...
