The River City Collection included a few dozen Disney and newspaper character books from the war years.  These 1942-44 issues exhibit considerable more cover wear than the Atomic Age issues (although the interiors are very fresh, with almost no wear).  We believe these books were originally purchased by an older sister (her name is on a couple of covers and a couple more interior coupons).  By 1949 or so, they had been "adopted" by the younger brother -- the beginning of his own collection.  We regard these war-years issues as a legitimate portion of the River City Collection.

First book coming right up!  I'll begin this afternoon's session with a handful of David McKay and United Features issues, and I'll finish up with a bunch of Dell titles featuring some of my favorite Disney and Warner Brothers characters.
