October,  regarding about GI in Battle Annual in what you say “very strange” ... I suspect that book was likely once in a bound volume with other war comics. Someone maybe had sliced the volume spine clean to get the comics out?

That's possible. The guy I bought it from thought it might gave been bug damage.
