Just noticed this in the weekly HA auction....partially credited to "Frank Miller details".

Did Miller work on the interiors to this book? If so, to what extent did he contribute?

Thanks.

Mike

It's okay, I don't think Miller's contribution will dilute the value of Sal B's work.

Similar question was asked the last time a page from this issue was at auction at HA.

Here’s some very interesting details from the #193p9 sale:

“The story was set in Pittsburgh, and due to a loss of reference material, several Marvel staffers were called in for reference details. It is reported that Frank Miller provided identifying details to Sal Buscema's layouts and Dan Green's finished pencils and inks. The page is signed by Green in the bottom margin”

The Grand Comics Database says: In The Avengers #197 letters page, Michelinie writes that Frank Miller "was able to add some identifying details to Sal Buscema's pencil art."

"Hi, Sal, it's me. Yeah, no problem. Look, if you're drawing Pittsburgh, the thing to remember is that all the women are whores. Okay, bye."
