Amazing Spider-Man 101 THE GRADE IS IN 0

 The grade is in -- 8.5.  Wondering if I should've had it pressed.  Here are the grader notes.  Seems like two of them maybe would've been fixed or improved with pressing?  

light writing indent center of front cover
small, multiple crease full top of back cover
spine stress lines breaks color
very light wear full bottom of front cover breaks color   

 

Thoughts?

Solid book. That corner could kill it but as is, I am feeling 8.5-9.0

Thanks, yeah, that corner is such a damn shame!  Do you think having it pressed would help that corner grade up?  I am new to this so forgive a stupid question.  Comics belonged to my brother.

9.0.. Page color seems to be off white, which won't affect grade but limit salability.Thanks for posting!

Id have to see a better picture of the corner but i don't think you will get dinged as hard as you think. Without a real close up I think its a 9.0 - 9.2

^ This is true. There exist 9.4-9.8 books with corners like this. Whether that is correct or not is of personal opinion. Not on a 9.8 for me but if its literally the only real flaw, I could see 9.4-9.6

I'm also thinking 8.5, with a shot at 9.0...looks like there might be some wear at the top and bottom edges of the back cover that hold it back.

I'd go 9.0. If it were just the top left corner I think it could go higher, but it looks like multiple signs of minor wear on the bottom edge, top edge, and right edge of the cover.

A press probably won't help the top of the spine, but it could smooth out some of that minor wear that doesn't break color. An attractive book with good potential...
