Tax question on auctions

I’d really be interested to know what percentage of websites are actually turning over the sales tax receipts to the non-domicile states. It is totally at the whim of the retailer whether to pay or not and how much to pay. For instance is eBay paying the sales tax when ebucks are used?  “Forget” to pay your sales taxes in a state you’re  domiciled in and they’ll lock your doors.

Given what I was spending overall I felt a bit silly about asking for 5 dollars here and there. It was cheaper in the end than posting lots separately, but hardly at cost shipping.

Do you ever use credit card mileage points? Those are typically 1 100ths of the purchase price.
