Can I submit a slabbed book to In-House Private Signing with Chris Claremont?

Good morning, thanks for your message.  Yes, you can certainly send us a previously graded book for any of the private signings.  You can keep the books in the holder, however, there is a $5 fee to crack them out of the holder.  Please note, if your book already has a signature series label then it will have to remain in the holder and we crack it out here in order to retain that signature series label.

Please note also that the original grade is no longer valid once the book is cracked out and it will have to be regraded.  There is no guarantee that the book will receive the same grade after it is signed and regraded.

If you have any other questions, please let us know.  Thanks!

I have a 2nd question because of the original.

Since there’s no need for a new slab from CGC, what’s the price for a Chris Claremont “signature” slab submittal since the purchase was to include a new slab, label etc. from CGC? Less than $70 I would assume, correct?

Please advise.

Hello.  The price is the same for a raw book and a holdered book.  If you send a book in that is in a CGC holder, the book will have to be removed from the holder for the signing and put into a new holder.  Once the book is removed from the original holder it cannot be put back into that same holder so it will have to be put into a new holder after grading.

Thanks,

You should supply your own window bag, if possible.  This will allow you to indicate specifically where you want the artist to sign it.  However, if you aren't able to for some reason, we will have a supply of them here and can put it in one of our window bags for you.  Thanks!
