Joshua33
Good Evening, let's dive into the rules, then a story (us comic book collectors love a good story). #1. All books have free shipping. Its fast, well packed, and on me. Generally ships USPS PRIORITY in the U.S. International buyers will incur shipping charges. Please contact, before purchasing for a shipping quote. #2. There are only 2 forms of acceptable payment... PayPal and Personal Check. I do NOT accept, gold, silver, stocks, chickens or goats... please stop asking. #3. Payment or deposit is due within 72 hours of purchase. You buy it, you pay me. Don't try to be a genius here, no need. #4. Return policy is easy... NO RETURNS ON SLABBED BOOKS. Raw books are returnable, as long as you notify of intent within 48 hours of delivery confirmation by the post office. #5. This is how we settle arguments... if I had the money, I would fly , (first class) the argumentative parties to my house and have them duel, 20 paces with pistols in my front yard to settle it. However, its a lot easier to just say the firstis the . PM Negotiation is welcome and encouraged, but first take in the thread, trumps all. #6. Time Pay is available for all books in this thread, unless they are contest giveaways, because... don't be stupid. I'm not bullying, thats common sense. This method of purchase requires a 20% down payment, which is non refundable if you stiff me in full. The balance requires full payment within 60 days. Please understand that you will need to clear TIME PAY with me before purchasing in this manner, as I may be negotiating with others that are paying in full. #7. Have a good time!!! This sale will be chalk full of excitement, variable pricing, thread crapping, bad jokes, deplorables, stories NOBODY cares to listen to, impossible books, mediocre books, and more... You have my personal guarantee on that. If you don't know what my personal guarantee is worth, watch the movie Tommy Boy... #8. Check out my Kudos thread... its legit. Nuff said. Now for a story... Once upon a time, I decided to change my methods (I'll leave it at that for the mediators). A month later, and at 40 years old, I found out I'm going to become a first time father. Whilst scary and exciting at the same time, future fatherdom has made me contemplate offering stuff for sale that I never normally would. I am not giving these books away for free, but they are wonderful, hard to find and well collected. A man here on the boards once told me after a purchase, "you collect great books, regardless of grade". What I think he meant by that, was that in my 32 years of collecting, I've always bought the book... rarity, artist,, page quality, presentation, etc. I am now offering these to you... my friends and community members. I will start with one or a few books tonight, and run contests and total sum of books by tomorrow evening. These books are all special, and this is their first or last rodeo here on the boards... Unsold books will head to CGC and into my vault if not already graded. I'm open to negotiation on anything, but try not to take advantage of me. I'm a classy broad, and I definitely don't give it up on the first date!!! Let's start the fun... Popular Post Joshua33
Next book is an absolute stunner, and an All Time favorite of mine. I had a dealer tell this was the nicest copy he'd ever seen and he'd seen plenty. No he wasn't the one who sold it to me I was just showing off. There are a couple of tiny flaws I have pictured. You be the judge. I would put it at VF/NM or better. Maybe the hottest book on the market today, in exceptional quality. Joshua33
This book is kind of an anomaly. It is one from the collection of Wonderworlds, and early DCs. This book, too had the cover just fall off. As far as presentation is concerned, I challenge you to find a better looking 4.0. Great page quality and eye appeal, front and back. This book has never been pressed. First Luthor in Superman. Superman 4 CGC 4.0 OW/W Pulled Edited May 12, 2020 by Joshua33 Terms Badger
Joshua33
First book is literally a one of a kind. This book is from one of my absolute favorite PCH cover artists, and I promise you'll never find another. This book was purchased as a Fine minus, but could be a half grade higher, from Roger Hill, whom is handling the family's personal estate. Personal File Copy of Johnny Craig. The other masterpiece will also show up in this thread, but this is my personal favorite. EC Certificate, and top chip pieces out included in envelope. 4.5 sold last month for 1600, 5.0 last year for 2200. You might ask "why so high for a 5.5?! Think about it, and answer your own question... Fine minus to fine with OW or better supple pages. Complete and unrestored... Joshua33
Here she is. Mostvrect sale is a little over a month ago in a lowly 3.0 for 800. Last 6.0 was years a go for over 1800. This book is soooo tough in grade. Purchased from MyComicShop, as a vgf, and I've never had a book come back from them less than a full grade over advertisement... but thats why we love them, right?! Colors and gloss are truly ASTONISHISHING (see what I did there?). OW or better page quality. Complete, untestored and really tough above mid grade... this book will be a forehead slapper at price down the road. You know it, and I know it. Look at it outside of the mylar!!! Without further adieu... Astonishing 4, just pressed... at least 5.5 or better, look at the pics!!! I'd say 6.0, but you judge. At least OW page quality, unrestored. Bill Everett Cover, and some of the best PCH interiors and storytelling in the history of the medium... Joshua33
Bought this in a 700 book collection. Very similar to my Superman 4, where the cover just fell off after I got it. Tough book in this quality. All pages accounted for via GCD. Complete, unrestored and insane suppleness. Ow or better. A 3.0 with major notated issues and BRITTLE, not slightly brittle pages sold the other night for over 800. My super 4 in similar condition (awesome but dtatched cover came back 4.0 OW/W. I put this at 3.5 detached. Wonderworld Comics 5 vg- OW or better. 1939, Lou Fine anatomy at it's finest (probably why the subject matter was ripped off in the GA alone over 10 times by Fiction House). Joshua33
Back by popular demand... asked by multiple boardies to resist at last sale price (way below GPA). EXTREMELY TOUGH IN GRADE. If it doesn't sell this time after all the yammering, I'm gonna crack it, crumple it, and bury it in the back yard inside a coffee can, after I pour a PBR on it. Joshua33
ok. Last book for the evening. Previously a 6.5 OW/W. Just had cracked and pressed, but don't see a ton of improvement. Joshua33
This book was previously graded by a 3rd party company 5.0 OW. I would put it more in the vg+ category after a press, but im not a professional grader.
