What is the most valuable book of the last 30 years ? No variants . Walking dead 1 ?

Probably WD1. Print run was low (like 7K) and demand has been consist with high grade prices over a grand for a long time now.

Forgot about Bone 1 , for some reason I always thought that was an 80's book . Last 9.8 sold for $5,400 in 2019 .

GPAnalysis says $4,378 for CGC 9.8 Bone #1 on December 4, 2019.

More recently, a CGC 9.6 Bone #1 sold for $3,120 on March 7, 2020.

Outside of it being extremely valuable

What is so special about this book?

The story was picked up by Scholastic Books, putting it into school classrooms for 20+ years.  The first print was tiny, and every subsequent print sold out.  The Watchmen trade might be the only comic book reprinted more times than Bone #1.  It's a fun story, humble beginnings, even humbler when you see the 1983 Ohio State cartoons, and it's so big for a big portion of a generation it might as well be their Saturday Morning Cartoons.  Those kids are just now old enough to buy a Bone #1.
