Better artist of that era-Byrne or Perez.

Really?  I would easily take Miller over Byrne as the greatest writer/artist of that era.  By far.

6 of one, half dozen of the other.

I love Miller's DD run, but I also love Byrne's FF and Alpha Flight.

Different flavors but both excellent. I'm glad I can enjoy them both and not have to choose :)

Just a heads up-I'm startin a new thread called "who is worse, liefeld or robbins".  all units sharpen claws.

If you didn't like Robbins he was easys to avoid. It was hard to avoid Liefeld. That's probably the source of a lot of the venom.

Not in the 70s he wasn’t.

He was quite prolific at Marvel.

The best artist of that era is Brian Bolland. I also have a real soft spot for Sienkewicz. Perez and Byrne are good but they are very much the meat and potatoes kind, not offering a truly distinctive style. Perez could have done X-Men and Byrne could have done Teen Titans and I think the world of comics would still be pretty much the same.
