Hi guys, trying to figure out if 4 staples is a common occurrence in 1950s comics. This book in question is from 1954... Ghostly Weird Stories #122….I bought this 30 years ago and never noticed these 4 staples...enclosed are some pics. Would Cgc call this restored or just a production error? All opinions would be welcomed... Thanks in advance!

Are you looking to have it graded?

The staples do look like they were added post production.

I have seen books with extra staples will get a blue label,  so I don't think it's considered resto. Could be wrong.

Do all the staples go through the cover as well?

Yeah that's what they will say, however the grade will suffer greatly because of it. Might not be worth getting this graded.

depends on the rest of the book, that said Ghostly Weird 122 is rather rare so even lower grades are worth grading.
