I also bought, at the same time, ASM 361 9.8 as I anticipated an increase due to Carnage being the antagonist in the next Venom movie.

With Covid and the whole pandemic thing happening, will going to movies ever be the same even if the vaccine is in place?  hm  (shrug)

So, is 361 the next 300?

I don’t know, the way things are flying off the shelf at record sale prices these days.

Has anyone else noticed the strong uptick for this book (universal, direct) over the past few weeks?

Sales of: 1.8K (2x), 1.65K, 1.55K, 1.75K, and 1.7K.

Haven't seen too many sales for universal, direct 9.8, but there should be some action with upcoming Clink auction sales.

Depends, with stimulus money coming in, tax returns, it's just a bubble IMO. I still don't think it's worth 5K. And even if it holds at 5K, it's not like I can't just open up the internet and buy one right?

Maybe I will sell enough comics that the market is paying to regain a loss if I choose to buy one, and if it goes down in value.

We'll see, again, not in a rush to buy something not rare.

I did buy an ASM 238, with the semi low census numbers, and the hard retention of the tattoos, I think this book was not hoarded like 300.

As with 300, 238 spiked to a recent sale of $3,800. Not sure how much higher this book will go in value as well.

That has me thinking that with the recent spike in 238, well, I hate to say it, but it’s making ASM 300 seem relatively ‘cheap’  y comparison.  Let the brick-tossing begin! :tonofbricks:

Interesting. First time they have done that, that I am aware of since there is no label designation.

Unfortunately the conversation started with Go Collect's average value.

They’ve done it recently with another book.  I think it was TMNT Adventures 1 (1988).

Yes, a few now I believe. I posted that in July.

So AMS #300 9.6 would be a $25K book? :news:

So what would a 9.9 copy of ASM 300 make once the hammer drops. I assume 50 to 80K ish since that NM 98 hit 42K

I'd love to know this as well

It wouldn’t surprise me if a 9.9 ASM 300 hit 100k right now.:insane:

I was just about to say this, especially with NM 98 9.9 and TOD 10 9.9 capping out on ridiculous prices
