Handwritten thank you cards & notes from sellers 0

Call me old-fashioned, but I always enjoy something as small as a handwritten "thank you" on an invoice. Just a two second personal touch. 

Today, I received my first ever thank you card included with a purchase from ebay. It was about $75 plus shipping for a CGC book I bought, so nothing incredibly huge.  

Anybody have an especially touching "thank you" story?

I haven't done that, but I have written nutty feedback tied to whatever book they bought, i.e. "Payment swifter than the hammer of Thor! Marvel-ous eBayer! Excelsior!" Goofy stuff like that.

I also have included little bonuses when I had them... like a pack of Daredevil playing cards along with the DD 1 7.0 a guy bought from me. 

You gotta have fun with it.

Whenever I bought my young men 24 from @Half-Gringo there was a nice sticky note thanking me for my purchase and a cool vampirella trading card. It was honestly a nice surprise

I always print off the packing slip and thank them for the purchase with a quick handwritten little note on the slip.

If the shipping doesn't increase, I will also slip in some extras for a surprise freebie.

It helps to look at it as if you were the one opening the package.

I bought an original art page from Tom Mandrake off eBay back in the early 00's. It was page 25 from Detective Comics annual #5. A really nice page with a full depiction of Batman and him interacting with Commissioner Gordon. Tom was nice enough to throw in a few trading cards he did the artwork on and he even autographed them!

I do the same thing with feedback, but not related to what they purchased.

Many times sellers will include 90s trading cards.. some loose some unopened packs..... the best is when they customize the cards and stickers to my taste or liking.. one time I bought a shirt and aside from stickers and the like I received a hand colored drawing of Billy the Puppet and my name written with a story.. really nice stuff

And my mother and aunt. Geez, but those two were pro's. They would meet for coffee somewhere at 5am, go through the paper for yard sale listings and my aunt would plot out the most efficient route on a map. Then starting at 6 am it was off to the races. They could haggle prices like Uncle Scrooge at an a Arabic flea market and be back in the car and off to the next yard sale in 10 minutes flat!   

GOD BLESS indeed. Two wonderful women I miss everyday. But God willing, I will see them again

I received a New Kids On The Block trading card with an item recently. I'm still not sure if it was a nice gift, or an insult.

I throw in free comics, usually 1-2 at least just because. I’ve received that a few times as well as thank you on invoices. A few people have even sent some extra goodie which is awfully generous.

That's hilarious. 

I took my oldest daughter - she was maybe 11 or 12 then - to a New Kids On The Block concert here in Evansville, IN.  Man, but  ten thousand or more preteen girls inside an indoor stadium can make a lot of noise. I was near deaf by the time it was done and my ears rang for days afterwards. 

The band and show wasn't bad. I actually like pop music and they put on a good enough show. My daughter loved it. 
So consider it a nice gift

As for thank you notes- 

A few years ago, I bought a set of three Amazing Spider-Man comics on eBay. It came with a letter from the seller with a full history of the books - the name of the drug store and town in the 1960's that he bought them from, how he'd read the books, how he'd put them away in boxes as he grew up into adulthood, and that after 50 years of them being his how he hoped that I would treasure them as much as he had.

I was FLOORED. I wrote him a message back to thank him for the letter and to assure him that I would take good care of them for the next 50 years. 

Got a great deal on books I'd wanted, and I got four amazing stories for the price of three.

When buying sportscards I have gotten thank you notes. It's cool. In my older age I tend to leave more generic eBay feedback, but there are occasions where I'll message a seller with a more sincere thank you than I can give in feedback.
