:applause: and what sharp looking copies

The Dime Mystery and Dime Detective have some very lurid covers. When I was using MCS as a Gerber for Pulps, many of the covers on my short list came from these two runs .

I know that I mentally thank whoever is behind philsp regularly for creating such easy access to essentially what is a virtual pulp Gerber (with much more information). It's been a pleasure to see it grow like the GCD over the years -

The guys on the right are about to eat dinner. There are a few girls in the pantry. Since the guys on the left are real hungry, those on the rights are prepping another one. Meanwhile, the dude at the window is either trying to save a girl or going to lower her down so that they have more to eat, just in case. Right?

Somebody please explain what the heck is going on here?

Station # 1 - exsanguination (foreground)

Station # 2 - dipping in gold (in the pit)

Station # 3 - quick dry (on the wall)

Station # 4 - put out as garden decorations (out the window)

The editor did approve the cover image.

I hadn't even noticed that they're dipping the gals in something.  I do like your theory, kinda like garden gnomes only sexier.

I always thought it was wax.

Could be. I tried to look up a PDF of the book online but I could not find this specific issue in case the cover is vaguely related to an inside story ... which is doubtful anyway.

I'd open it up, but I'm afraid I'd damage it's perfect spine.

First two issues of this title.  I think the artist for the first was painting this in an opium den.  The more you look at it the crazier it seems.
