I've seen this seller/dealer interacting with dealers like Joe Vereneault at NY Comic Con. He seemed to have an eye for material and traded professionally. It was encouraging to see, because he seemed to be part of the next up and coming generation of dealers.

This thread and his posts in it, taints that.

Instead of fighting the masses here, he could have come on and made just one post and said he was taking care of things and contacting both the buyers of the books in question and CGC. That would have brought him a ton of goodwill PR from this community, as well as potential customers.

He seems to respect Roy's (Vintage) opinion and that is probably because he's met him. Everyone else is an alias here and he went on the defensive. Bad mistake.

All dealers and collectors make mistakes and go through growing pains. The ones who advance are the ones who learn from the mistakes and take valid criticism constructively.

Although there have been some jabs at being an Overstreet advisor (and rightfully so, if dealers like Bob Storms aren't one) one is representing the hobby in that capacity and ought to act accordingly.

Hey, I have a question... 

Is this going to be one of those threads where a mod is scrubbing or hiding posts and the other mods don't know that it is going on... then Dena has to comment and say that the mod that did that is not really part of the regular mod team and that they really should not have and it makes the CGC Boards look bad because it raises questions about transparency. 

 

Because we went through that already back in April with a certain signature facilitator who it seems quite a few of us had issue with for doing underhanded things.  He bragged on FB that he would call CGC and have them take it down... and taken down it was.
