1 - It is NOT a mutual loss. As I mentioned, I sent links to the thread last night to a few board members that kind of lurk but they currently do way more buying than I do.   They rolled their eyes at YOUR comments and the whole situation.  You have lost business and it is not a MUTUAL loss.  It is YOUR loss.  There is not a single book you have that I cannot get anywhere else or at auction in the same grade or better.   Hold on... let me see if my CLink auctions that I am sitting on are almost up.  

2 - I don't think watching a video of anyone on a toilet is appealing.  I guess toilet humor is your thing?  I don't know I am not really planning on checking it out.  You do you though. 

3 - If there was a clear mistake made by CGC then you resubmit them.  If not then you accept the grade and the notes that come with it.  I submitted a copy of Superman 3 that I knew to be trimmed.  CGC sent it back as missing a centerfold but did not note the trimming.  I called up CGC because I knew they were wrong (Centerfold was detached) and sent the book back in.  They realized the mistake and noted the trimming but that it was a complete book.   I did not accept the grade because I knew it was wrong... but I took the good with the bad as I wanted an accurately described book if I want to sell it down the line.  

4 - If you sell to another dealer Dylan you will never realize the full amount of money that you could have made by selling your books to myself, my friends or others... for the very reasons that you have listed in your site's blog posts. 

5 - You will receive no such apology from me.  Not all ethics are black and white.  I am publicly saying that in my opinion that you are unethical for selling restored books that you knew were mislabeled without fully disclosing it.  I will not recant.  I will not back down from this statement.  I am not afraid of anything you 'think' you can do to me for saying that.   I believe your actions in selling restored books in mislabeled CGC holders to be unethical. 

 

EDIT - I deleted his quote since I see that it was probably scrubbed by the mods so I will respect that.  However, I can respond to it just the same... I also took a screen cap of my quote once once I realized that you guys might have scrubbed it.

I apologize for not noting the non additive resto in the description. Frankly, it would have made ZERO difference as nobody even reads the picture anyway as per this entire discussion. FACTS: I have hid almost everything else that I have posted for the purpose of creating a CLEAR narrative.

There were actually 4 comics, not 2. Shame on any insufficiently_thoughtful_person who believed what another insufficiently_thoughtful_person wrote on the boards as fact.

I have reached out to all buyers of all 4 comics informing them of the recall. I am attempting & putting forth best efforts to obtain these books at this current time & have already obtained 2 so far.

I held all 4 books in my hand fully taken apart to asses because of the ct. CGC did not have them taken apart whatsoever; Therefore I am the best person to make a judgement here.

I have a super strong ethical compass. I even returned to Greg Reece back $100 (he gave me too much) at a show a few years back. I run a legit honest business. I even charge sales tax if I am shipping to NYS unless you have a resale certificate. Most boardies cannot say that! 

I note restoration in all my raw books and almost never miss ANYTHING. I'm one of the best people at seeing this stuff & become super upset if I miss something; This is what I do to make my living.

If these books were graded by me, I would have noted the non additive restoration in the description as is right & just.

If CGC gave these purple labels, this never would have been an issue.

CGC SHOULD have publically apologized, taken responsibility & taken the CGC boards mafia off me admitting all fault. CGC clearly does not care about their dealers/submitters as them hanging me out to dry & taking no responsibility demonstrates.

There is a no verify information mentality on these boards and it is quite sickening. It is easy to go along with the crowd. I hate crowds & am willing to go in the opposite direction; Many people on the boards need to grow a pair of balls. 

If you don't buy comics from me, that's a mutual loss. If everyone ridiculously gets the Dylan is evil disease, I will just sell to a few dealers so you are not really dodging a hypothetical bullet anyway. You would end up with the EXACT same books; You just wouldn't know.

If you buy comics from me, I will give you the absolute best customer service I can.

Yes I am THAT guy who made the AF15 Video. You should watch, it is fing hilarious.

 

My opinion: CGC did not fck up here on the label. I do not believe the color touch was additive to the grade in anyway and should have been blue. These books were part of an original owner collection where the owner used marker for no fcking reason. I removed the marker that DID effect grade. Restoration is not restoration if it does not restore anything. They were not trimmed, you can see in the pictures that the edges are not short-that was a mistake by CGC.

I would appreciate a public apology from any ignorant person who said I was unethical. You didn't gather all the facts which is moronic.

 

 

I had this open in another tab.  This is what Dylan wrote... I quote and write this under the belief that he deleted it.  If moderation took it down then I apologize and feel free to remove it.  Sorry.   My response to it is restored. 

BTW...  I upgraded one ASM tonight through CLink... looking to grab one or two more.
