Another scammer tastes the justice of the CGC Boards! They always get their man. I'll never understand the people who try to take the ethical shortcuts. It's always going to catch up with them. It's so much more work to be dishonest, I don't get it.

Wow, I was busy working and missed most of the bloodletting.  Not here to argue the initial issue, Dylan has said he should have listed the book faults and he has contacted buyers to rectify the situation.  Perhaps leading with that statement may have prevented the attack/counterattack and my inbox exploding. 
 

Maybe we can all take a breath and step back a bit?  I’m pretty sure if a similar situation presents itself Dylan would take a different route.  This probably means nothing to others but although I have never met Dylan I have bought from him and had some lengthy conversations.  I was impressed with his knowledge of all genre of comics, more shocking when I discovered he was 20.  We have also spoke at length about customer service and repeat sales and building a business.  He was very dedicated to improving customer service and reducing return rates.  Before launching on me I understand this current issue stands in opposition to all those statements, but I just have to reflect on some of the things I did when I was younger, lots of them “not great” but important learning curves.  Can anyone else relate to that?

I believe your point of view on this to be very off track and naive. I say that with no malice. 

It is quite apparent that Dylan has attempted to, and been successful, exploiting a loophole that has allowed him to sell books that are restored as not restored. With full knowledge. And apparent lack of remorse. And without accepting any responsibility for his actions

What in his response to the issue has lent you the idea he has one iota of remorse? There has been scant evidence of that. When someone shows you what they are, believe them.

Completely and totally irrelevant. His knowledge was enough to work to defraud customers. That is customer service built for the long haul.

At 21 were you attempting to knowingly defraud people out of thousands of dollars? I hope not. Because that is exactly what he was doing.

All he has shown to me is that he is without ethics and morals. Harsh? Yes. Close to the mark on his behaviour? I believe it to be.

There are a handful of people in this hobby I will not do business with. This one just got added to the list.

Why would you hide postings to create a 'clear narrative'?

Perhaps it could be to hide information about you when a buyer does a Google search on you and your business practices. 

Dylan did say he was tech savvy after all.

We have been informed by Dylan that he has already taken steps to reach out to his purchasers to reverse the transactions so that the books can be re-submitted to CGC for necessary correction and re-holder. We want to thank Dylan for his cooperation in this regard, and seeing to it that, for the integrity of the hobby, books are properly labeled.

I think the biggest issue I have is how he acted.  This thread would’ve been cold pages ago had he not come in here guns blazing.  As we all know, there are plenty of people to buy books from.  A lot of the good ones sell here regularly.  Not that he cares of course, but I won’t ever buy anything from him.
