My question is, is there anything new in the set or is it just the shorts we got in the Golden collections?

I want a complete Looney Tunes/ Merrie Melodies set; if Disney can get us all of their shorts Warner can get us all of theirs...

Legacy

The cartoon is widely regarded as Chuck Jones’ masterpiece, and many film critics, animation fans and filmmakers consider it to be the greatest of all the cartoons Warner Bros. released. It has topped many Top Ten lists of the greatest animated cartoons of all time.

In 1994, 1000 members of the animation industry ranked What's Opera, Doc? No. 1 in a list of the 50 greatest cartoons of all time.

In 1992, the United States Library of Congressdeemed it "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant", and selected it for preservation in the National Film Registry, making it the first cartoon to receive such honors. Duck Amuck and One Froggy Eveningwere later inducted into the registry, making Chuck Jones the only animator with three shorts thus recognized.

@N e r V That's his signature short, though i'm more partial to 'Rabbit of Seville'

That’s a good one and will be on disc 2.

Its not a complete set in any way (that’s a lot of Bugs) but I’m as excited to get Bugs on Blu in HD as I was Scooby Doo’s original cartoons last year. Lots of good ones in there...

I sent these pictures to ricksneatstuff after last years SDCC. I enjoy stopping (and buying) stuff at the Chuck Jones Gallery in the Gaslamp here. Hopefully they don’t end up being another “victim” in this pandemic...

(I limited the photos to the Bugs related stuff only but they have Peanuts and much, much more in animation)
