For me it was GSXM1. Don't know why... that comic just bowled me over when it was released. Five different copies:

A 9.6, 9.0, 9.0, 7.0, and a 6.5 signed by Len Wein.

Gone now, but I owned about a dozen copies of ASM 121 at one point.

I've had and traded 3 other copies of B&B 31 in the past couple of years. These are two that I'm keeping. Besides the two GL #36 shown, I have another one somewhere in the closet of doom.

I'm down to one copy, but have flipped 4 other copies of Hawkman #1 and two more Batman 148 in the past two years that aren't pictured.

FF annual 6. I used to have 20 or so. I’d give them away to comic reading friends who hadn’t read it. Now it’s too expensive to give away, or replace my pile. I’m reduced to buying the reprint, now.

Me too. The only time that I have had two copies of a comic was when I bought an issue that I forgot that I had.

Only comics I have more than one copy of are ones where it was just an accident and I got doubles when I bought a lot of comics somewhere...

Ditto here. I've never once purposefully bought multiple copies of a comic. I'm definitely a completionist, but one copy of each issue does the job

I have a lot of multiple copies of issues in my collection, but for different reasons.

I've obtained multiple copies with the idea of submitting some to CGC, keeping one, and selling the rest off. So, I could have 2 or 3, or up to a few dozen copies of one book. I don't plan to keep them permanently, maybe just one of them when it's all said and done. For example:

Then, there are issues that I've just picked up because I've come across a sharp copy at a good price, I want need to upgrade, or it just means something to me. Especially books that I loved as a kid. Read what you will into that.

So, as I've been organizing my books over the past year, especially during COVID, I've grouped together a lot of multiple copies like these ones as a result:

For some reason I've ended up with 6 or 7 copies of ASM 102.

I don't stockpile any valuable comics. If I have a dupe of something that is worth $$$, I'll sell it to get something I don't already have.

However, I do stockpile cheap drek from my youth. I pick up every Excalbur Special 1 that I find for a buck or less, as it's one of my all time faves. It's also fun to track down the multiple printings on that book.

I also buy every X-Men 1 I find for 50 cents or less, every Meltdown and Gen 13 1 I find for a buck, etc. Again, its nostalgia and they are fun to keep in my comic racks.

I had to stop buying Ghost a Rider 15's. I had so many that I papered part of wall with them. But I may need more now to make up for the ones I used!

I have Silver Surfer 50, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and I'd buy a 1st newsstand if I saw one.  Not sure that counts, I never kept doubles of the same book: wasted space, and the opportunity cost is a book I don't already have.

Strange Tales Annual 1, 2 and Millie Annual 1

Still have 20 or so STA 1's, about 40-50 #2's, and maybe 10 MA 1's. Happy to hang on to them - still think the STA #2 is underappreciated. Luckily when I sold my collection a couple of years back the buyer didn't want all those copies...

I agree on Strange Tales annual 2. It, and FF annual 1 are both killer comics.
