That is amazing news!  This hit particularly close to home for me.  Long story short, my girlfriend and I had to say goodbye to our 10 year old cat last November.  It took a long time but about 8 weeks ago, we adopted a new kitten.  Unbeknownst to us, she had contracted what we found out was FIV.  It profoundly impacts the immune system and is not curable.  After 4 vet trips and $1500 later, she passed away after us only having her for 1 month.  She took a turn for the worst and there was nothing we could do.  She was the sweetest little girl.

Sorry to be a bummer.  After reading about Otis and Emma (my girl), I want to encourage everyone to hug their furry friend a little tighter tonight.

Otis update, his infected leg is almost fully healed, although he will forever have a limp it is difficult to believe that this is the same pup from page 1.

Pete is also doing much better.
