I was exploring web sites of different pressing services and came across the exact same before and after pictures on two different sites. Here is the page showing Thor Annual 2 and Hulk 181 for Multiverse Corps Comics in Miami: https://www.multiversecorpscomics.com/full-comic-book-cleaning-service.  Here are the same pictures on the page for Impressive Comics in New York: https://www.impressivecomicbooks.com/.

This would seem to disqualify one of these sites from being trusted to press books.

Good catch.  Have you contacted either of them?

I wonder if the Multiverse is still active, if you click on any of the submit comics, you get a page that says:

We couldn't find the page you were looking for. This is either because:

  • There is an error in the URL entered into your web browser. Please check the URL and try again.
  • The page you are looking for has been moved or deleted.

You can return to our homepage by clicking here, or you can try searching for the content you are seeking by clicking here.

If you go to the homepage, there's a message about them closing the store.

Being motivated enough to start a business and create a website for it but so lazy as to not upload your own images to it are making my mind explode. The only explanation I can think of that makes any sense is that they don't press books at all and were going to take all of the submissions and run.

My guess is that they only had pressed cheaper books and wanted to display something more expensive to entice people to trust them to send in their expensive books.  Either way, a shady practice to steal someones pictures for your business.

Gary from Impressive Comics responded and said that they stole the images from him and it seems like Multiverse shut down their operation for pressing so mystery solved.

Nice work. I missed the note about them closing. Weird that they leave the site up.  It looked like Impressive had a few other pictures taken in the same space that Multiverse didn't.
