Hey Peter;

Why are you hanging around this thread here since there are no pre-Robin 'Tec books hiding in this particular collection?  

If it's just for the high grade Bat books, try asking Pat for photos of the Bat 36 or 41 issues since those were graded right up there.

I'll second this! Please continue sharing the images that you have and a complete list of what is in the Pedigree would be appreciated too. Just because I'm nosy and for posterity's sake. It is rare that the collecting public gets to know what books were found in a pedigree.

Unfortunately, you will need to ask Pat for the graded scans since the only photos which I have for these books are when they were still in raw condition.

Not sure if you are interested in raw condition photos, but here they are for whatever it's worth:

 

Personally, I prefer the Bat 41 with the black cover and probably aso because I don't care too much for the pencilled in distributor marking and the arrival date on the Bat 36.  Now, if it was the Chinese character(s) that's synonymous with this Chinatown pedigree, then that's an entirely different story.     

Not sure about the slight dust shadow on the Bat 41 as grading standards have changed over the years and I believe Matt and the current grading regime at CGC are harsher when it comes to dust shadows as compared to 13 years ago when West and Borock were still there calling the shots.  Nevertheless, still an absolutely gprgeous copy from my own personal point of view.

So, are you really trying to tell me that you weren't the third time lucky winner of the CGC 1.0 graded copy of 'Tec 31 that sold the other day at Heritage for $43,200?  

Looks like this exact same copy ended up finishing slightly lower than the last 2 times it sold at CC back in 2016 and again in 2017.  Definitely nothing compared to that steal of a deal in terms of your gorgeous pre-Robin 'Tec you picked up earlier this year.

I can confirm that the scans for Batman 36 and 41 are Chinatown Collection copies. Here is the 37, amazingly the 9.2 is highest graded (shared with three others) has white paper so maybe first among equals anyway.

Was going through the list of books which I had on this Chinatown Collection and this is a perfect example of sometimes you can get lucky and sometimes not so much. 

Perfect example being the All-American run and imaging if it had started just one short month earlier with a much in-demand classic cover book instead of this issue here: 

 

Then again, you really can't complain too much since the Flash run just managed to stretch far enough to end with this classic dino cover and key first appearance:

Are you really trying to tell us that you are not a closet Dell Four Color fan  because these books came a lot later and as a result, accounted for the majority of the uber HG books within this Chinatown pedigree collection?

Pat, if you care to share pictures of the Canadian whites, I'd love to see those.   Particularly any Bell Features books, but really any of the whites.
