Turns out they aren't quite so easy to find! Live and learn. Or maybe don't learn, because I have a feeling I'm still pricing these too cheap. But here's #25, 26 and 27, - $65 each, or $175 for all three. All True Romance #25 - 4.0 - dust shadows All True Romance #26 - 2.5 - spine split at top, some tanning All True Romance #27 - 4.5 SOLD!! And one that is gaining some steam. Awesome greaser cover with moody wash background. So great. This one is just a nice, solid copy. There is one issue - there are some light scratches on the hair of the male figure, as seen in the scans. I love this one! The right edge of the fc has some tanning and a little brittleness, and some pieces have flaked off. Inside pages are actually supple enough. This is an awesome Empire State Building cover by Al Hartley. I have no idea what this is "worth," but I know how much it will take to get it out of my hands! Link to post Share on other sites

There's a tear up by the CCA stamp Page quality is actually really nice, except a few pages the bottom corner got some sun and a couple little pieces came off of a few - doesn't affect art. Classic cover by the great Harry Lucey. I'm just guessing randomly at the price here, I don't even have GPA, so it's possible I just shot myself in the face. But hopefully this is a good deal for both you and me. A couple notes: I have no idea if this has been pressed, I just know I didn't do anything to it, it's exactly as I received it. I have closeups of some of the defects - I can't see this getting a higher grade than it has. Big things are a small tear and crease bottom front right, small piece out of cover above logo, some overhang of fc and some overspray on back. Some slight tanning by the looks? There are some faint smudge lines on the case itself I never noticed until just now. This one has some small kinks in it where it was bent at some point. Those could come out. The main issue is the top of the front cover got whammied with something at some point, so it's quite tan. Back cover has some broad tanning as well. FC has one chip out, small tear, and the inside of top fc has some foxing. The rest of the book is solid though. Link to post Share on other sites

And by they, I mean the ebay seller who sold this to me. What wasn't mentioned in that listing is the sad fact that there are two small holes punched completely through the book (arm and pants pocket of the guy on fc). There are also two other small holes that go partway through the book. I initially suspected a BB-gun and target practice, but one of the holes is only on some interior pages, so I have to reluctantly conclude this was the work of a bored kid wielding either a pencil or possibly a screwdriver. On the other hand, it presents really well despite this, and it's a great, late Matt Baker cover. Not one of those late covers where some inker messed things, up, one where's it's obviously Matt Baker. I also like to think that this is Clark Kent and Lana Lang in Smallville.
