Fantastic Four 122 - pre Marvel chipping?

Hello,

My FF 122 has some small tear on the right edge of front cover that look like pre Marvel chipping

Is that possible for a book from that era? Or do you think it's not related to the manufacturing process (dull blade)

I don't see a press making that rolling paper sit down and untear. I don't think Marvel chipping comes into play for a book of that period. A dull blade possibly  It's a nice book but  that defect brings it down. 8.0-8.5  at best.  Either that or I'm seeing the photo funny. It appears to have some faint tanning or cleaning issue on the back cover at the upper right if I'm reading that right. What do the cover pages look like viewed into a  back light?
