Dylan’s approach to life reminds me of a kid who takes the keys to his Dads car and runs over everything in his path, leaving a wake of destruction until he winds up on a guard rail. 
 

Then blames the mail boxes, pedestrians and other cars for being in the way.

Everyone loves a story of redemption.  characters like scrooge in christmas story or Phil in groundhog day, the grinch etc seeing the light-all Dylan would have to do is admit his mistakes and he's be one of those legendary type figures-

But too many people now believe everything they find online is real/true.
