Did it once have 2 staples? And it was removed? Or was it manufactured with only 1 staple.

5.0 seems right depending on that staple.

I don’t see holes where the other staples would have been. .

Worth getting pressed ?

I'm not sure a press improves the grade beyond a doubt other than to flatten that spine. Unfortunately, the other defects will not improve. I think its worth spending $10-$20 to press for a chance to improve the odds you get a 5.5 or better.

I would press it.

It looks like a bit of spine roll and it doesn't lie very flat. A press would address those issues.

We must have been responding at the same time, so sorry for essentially saying the same thing twice...What KCO said...

I don't think it's worth slabbing, it's worth as much slabbed as unslabbed. You can spend your money on other comics instead.

And 5.0 sounds ok.

I only paid 100 for it . Figured the slab would help preserve it

A mylar and full back will preserve it just as much, if not more. The only reason to slab it is if you like seeing your comics in slabs (which may be the case and is as legitimate a reason as any).

5.0-5.5  A press will not help with the color breaks or the checks on the spine and they are the biggest issue with the Comic.  I don't find the book to have a high enough value to justify more than a good backboard and bag.
