Just got this back from CGC a couple of weeks ago. Vanity label, which is pretty cool and who can't be upset about a 9.6 White, amirite?

Ok, well the problem is, the book is a SCS victim and the top and bottom right front corners are slightly bent in. Doesn't look like it's in an area where it will break color, so should be fixable.

My problem is this... I had no idea what this would grade at. I thought maybe an 8 or 8.5, because of some spine stuff, but apparently that's normal/production related. Because of that, I only put $2K on the submission form.

CGC customer service has agreed to take the book back, repress, and reholder for free, but with some pretty major caveats.

1. It's going to be around 100 days wait.

2. They refuse to honor the existing grade once its been cracked and pressed.

Aside... How could they NOT? This isn't a USPS/UPS/FED-EX issue, this is an issue with what happens with this comic, and in particular this comic in THEIR case design.

3. I begged and pleaded for CGC to at least commit to paying me any potential loss differential up to the maximum of the $2000 submission value claimed @ submission, but customer service denied the request.  They will NOT pay me any differential value loss if the book comes back a lower grade. I have a choice, accept any possibly lower grade or take the $2K that I originally insured it for. I don't get the book and the payout.

4. I'm petrified that the book will be damaged further and come back worth even less, and I don't see how it actually could come back higher. Don't want to take chances.

So, here we are... I needed this book sold two weeks ago. I got bills out the wazoo.

GPA90 sits at $6534 for a 9.6

GPA90 sits at 4800 for a 9.4

Someone want to do $5500? plus actual cost of shipping w/ insurance?

I would also be willing to trade for something else you might have, key books, marvel preferred.

Paypal Goods and Services, Venmo, Zelle Quickpay, Wire transfer, however you roll.

Cheers!

Here's what she looked like when I sent it in.
