Premium Questions:

Does the 10% discount apply to all grading/encapsulation services for comics, cards, posters, etc? 

Does the 10% discount apply to fast track fees?

 

Elite Tier Questions:

Does the 15% discount apply to all grading/encapsulation services for comics, cards, posters, etc? 

Does the 15% discount apply to fast track fees?

Does the 15% discount apply to fees for private signature series?

It mentions exclusive offers/benefits.  What are some examples of these?

Good morning,

Thanks for your message.  Membership discounts apply to regular grading fees only.  It does not apply to Fast Track fees,  Signature Series grading, On-site show grading or CCS pressing services. Membership discounts can be applied to regular grading for comics, magazines, trading cards and posters. 

From time to time CGC might offer an exclusive benefit that is open only to Elite members or allow Elite members early access to a particular item or special, etc.  We do not have any current specials for Elite members going on at this time.

Thank you for clarifying this.  Can you provide some examples of past early access or specials for elite items and were they available during Conventions or via in-house?  I'm still weight the cost/benefit of elite membership.

Follow up question -- I understand that the membership credit/discount apply to Reholder submissions too. Do they also apply to the custom label fees?

The membership credit applies to regular grading fees only.  It does not apply towards reholder fees, customer label fees or any other services beyond regular grading.

I was just advised that the credit can be applied to reholdering a comic by a CGC person.

@NickiO CS"If you join at the Premium membership level, your $150.00 grading credit will be automicatically applied toward all fees, including return shipping, and can be used for any service including reholder submissions. Any remaining credit will be available for future submissions until the credit expires on the anniversary date of your membership. "

 

Maybe CGC should think about listing what the credit can be used for in the FAQ?
