BigDaddy1
Was going through my collection and I kinda forgot I had this in my collection. I also am getting some books ready for shipping to CGC, and am debating getting this graded. My only big concern (and this may sound dumb of me lol) is whether the lower staple is considered popped, even though it’s still through the entire book. I think it was bent from manufacturing the comic. How would you grade this comic? Thank you very much in advance! comicginger1789
Is that a stain on the bottom left corner of the back cover? If so, that will hurt. If its just the shadowing from the pic, I see another 7.5-8.0 potential here. And no, that is not a popped staple. Just bent from manufacturing. It would basically keep a book from getting 9.6-9.8 if that was the only flaw. BigDaddy1
BigDaddy1
That is not a stain on the bottom left, sometimes getting the best photo is hard haha! And thanks for your input too!
Galen130
A clean/press might help the soiling on the back cover. The upper staple...is that light oxidation I see, or just poor lighting? I only ask because the bottom staple is really shiny. SQUIRREL!!!! BigDaddy1
BigDaddy1
@Galen130 here’s a better picture of the top staple. It doesn’t look like there’s any oxidation on it, just poor lighting on my part. Galen130
Galen130
No worries. That looks better. I think after a clean/press...8.0. Nice copy though!!! BigDaddy1
KCOComics
I do think a clean will help with the back cover. Not the greatest pictures, but I'm thinking 8.0 seems right BigDaddy1
mysterymachine
I think it would grade 8.0 as is. Clean and press should get you 8.5 BigDaddy1

BigDaddy1
Got back the X-Men #50 last night, very happy with the grade and being an 8.5! The following grader’s notes are as follows: light soiling back coververy light spine stress lines to coververy small crease left bottom of front coververy small crease right bottom of front cover breaks color From the notes, I do think I should’ve taken the advice of a clean and press from @mysterymachine, @Galen130 and @KCOComics . I did have the book pressed through my comic shop but I am thinking in the future to try resubmitting the book and have CGC press and clean it. Regardless, I appreciate everyone’s input and hope you all are doing well! Jemin, grendelbo and Galen130
