Grape needs help identifying Spider-Man artist 0

Either Tan or Ian signed 2001?

Confirmed NOT FRED IAN NOT PHILIP TAN

I’m stumped but it’s a nice piece.

Can anyone help me Identify the artist?

If you’re referring to Fred Ian, I don’t believe so.  Philip Tan is highly probable, although he usually signed his stuff with first and last name.  The signature is a bit sloppy too but no one’s perfect.  Nice piece!!!

Thanks for leads so far. Not Fred Ian. I’ve reached out to Philip to see if he’ll confirm.

Anyone else that can help me nail this down?

The artist is Ian Whetstone.

I found other paintings on CAF with a similar style. Then I reached out to Ian and he confirmed creating the watercolor back in 2001.

Thanks to everybody that tried to solve this mystery for me.
