Weekend Auction #7 hard close at 8PM Eastern Sunday
2 2

34 posts in this topic

Ok as promised this week we'll have a  hard ending at 8 PM Eastern, no extended bidding this week. We'll see how this goes.

Rules:

All books are returnable within 2 weeks of purchase for any reason. I try to give as many scans and pics to enable judgement of grade or detection of resto, but I have missed stuff before and I don't need to bleed the last nickel out of every sale so I have no problem with returns.  Paypal, CK, or MO accepted. International buyers welcome if you can pay for shipping that includes tracking. If you are well known on the boards and international, your books will ship in a timely manner upon any form of payment. If you are international and unknown to me, you’ll either have to pay by CK or MO, or have a long-time ever-present boardie vouch for you directly to me.

Shipping costs are exact costs for US shipping however you want it shipped. Default shipping in US is USPS Priority mail Box. If shipping ends up being more than what you’re charged, I’ll refund the difference.

No bidders of ill-repute, yadda yadda yadda.

This auction will end 8 PM Eastern time Sunday night and all bids must be in by 7:59:59 PM to be valid. If the time stamp on your bid says 8:00 or later you were too late. I will try to recap Sunday night. I will set a BIN of $1000 for each book to conform with what I believe are the rules. Nothing implied re: comic value in the BIN, I’d just prefer this to be an auction.

There are 4 auctions, one for each book. Bidding starts at $1 for each book. Bid increments must be $10 minimum. Anything else that needs clarifying, feel free to alert me by post in this thread.

Books coming up in a few.

This week I’m shaking it up a bit with the books, including a few oddities you probably don’t see often. Plus an intriguing ASM for the Silver Agers.

1. Darling Love #7 4.0  Bought this as a VG and that looks about right. Two long vertical creases fc, small stain bc, some staple stress but book tight at staples and fairly supple. No copies in the census.

2. Super Magician #v3 no. 7 CGC 4.5 Edgar Church. Chance to own a low- to mid- grade Church. And some GGA to boot.

3. Public Enemies #9 4.0-4.5 DOUBLE COVER Front cover is 4.0, inner cover not much better 4.5 as it still as the long sub—like crease. Tight at staples, nice pages. Although not high grade, novelty here is the GA double cover. Only one I’ve ever owned.

4. ASM #64 CGC 9.2 I bought this ages ago because it looked grossly undergraded. And it is :sumo:. On close inspection all I can find is: 1) 2 light small ncbs in spidey panel ulc; 2) flick llc of spine that could be production; and 3) small ncbc in white about one inch down on edge of right edge bc.  No way this book has been pressed; it appears to have 9.6 potential. Or if you prefer a very nice 9.2 in an old label.
