nOOB questions about boards and CBCS books... 0

Hello all,

I've been collecting for years, but I was hoping for verification of two questions:

1: Bill Cole Enterprises boards: they claim to be acid-free, so that means they never have to be changed: is that correct?

2: CBCS books: they are sealed in Mylar (or equivalent) and never need to be re-slabbed: is that also correct?

I think I know the answer to both, but I wanted to double check.

EDIT: also, Comic Defense System long and short boxes: do they ever need to be replaced, or are they acid-free?

I've read that slabs aren't forever,  but as long as you take care of them, I don't see why they'd need to be changed throughout the life of your collection.

The boxes you mentioned are not acid free. Gerber does or has had truly acid free boxes in the past. Pretty thin though so not good for stacking.

CBCS has their own forum on their website; all can be answered there. 
There’s no reslabbing time set that I’ve seen; most important, for all slabbed books, is proper storage conditions.
