Who can buy?
Anyone not on the Probation List or the Hall of Shame can buy. Even so, I reserve the right to refuse sale to anyone.

How do you pay?
I accept PayPal Goods and Services or Zelle. I need payment before the weekend is over, so before Monday is expected.

Can you make a return?
I won't take a return due to buyer's remorse. If now is a bad time for you to make a purchase, don't push that bad timing onto me. Otherwise, you need to let me know within five (5) calendar days of receiving the book, as indicated by USPS tracking.

How do I ship and what does it cost?
I will ship via USPS Priority. I will take a collector's care with packaging your comic. Shipping is $8 for any number of raws, $15 for any number of slabs (or slabs combined with raws). I ship in Gemini mailers or Priority boxes, no envelopes. An individual listing might include shipping.

What else do you need to know?
Payment is expected within 2 days of me invoicing you, else I reserve the right to relist the comic. :takeit: in the thread trumps PM negotiations. You need to post a :takeit: here whether buying a comic at the asking price or negotiating via PM. If you're buying from and shipping to Canada, the full shipping cost is needed and you must anticipate long delivery times (as much as 6 weeks, based on recent experience).

Kudos
It's embarrassingly long from my manic buying and selling days, but here it is.

Strange Stories From Another World #2, VG+, $160 shipped :news: SOLD!

I bought this from a boardie. Not much gloss but nice colors all the same. It needs a press, but the real issue is a tide mark that runs along the back spine. It doesn't penetrate to the pages but there's some interior foxing. The centerfold is secure and the staples are rust free. I'm selling it a loss as I grade it more harshly due to the tide mark.

This one pays for my kid's after school program at the local science museum. When I saw they set up a parent work area, I was in!

Brave and the Bold #54, F+, $350.00 :news: SOLD!
The back cover doesn't look that dirty in hand, not to me at least, but hey, I have no glasses and no longer know what's real. Anyhow, the back is still noticeably dirty compared to the front which looks quite nice to me. GOCO FMV lists this as $425.00. I'm asking $350.00 plus $8 shipping for this Thanksgiving-esque cover (that's a thing, right?).

King Comics starring Popeye, No. 32. 1938, cover by Joe Musial
$125 + s/h :news: now $100

I really love this comic, but alas, it's yet another casualty of my efforts at moving my collection to a clz database. It's a bit of an outlier, and ultimately is a specimen copy of a Popeye comic. I sure did love Popeye when I was a kid, and I like comics related to early cartooning; however, I have enough collecting roads to travel without going down that one, too.

I have included both scans and photos for this comic. The front cover scan shows a blue spot at the at the top right corner of POPEYE, in the masthead. You will see in photos that the spot isn't visible, so I added pics of the area, inside and out, along with several other photos highlighting flaws. You will see some paper loss, above and not far from the ghost dot I mentioned above. I don't see any obvious signs of color touch and believe the staples are original. The centerfold is secure.

I think it's a lovely copy. It still feels limber in hand--the paper isn't stiff. The colors are strong and not faded. There isn't any gloss, but, I mean, it's from 1938. (ง •_•)ง  I dig the seasonal cover design and the irony of Popeye dressed as a gentleman hunter. He's probably off to impress Ms. Olive.

Bugs Bunny's Christmas Funnies #1 (1950), 9.0, $160
Deslabbed CGC 9.0 Universal (liquid metal label, super unique)
Painted cover, front and back. Super pretty copy. It's a Dell Giant so a bit over-sized.

Flintstones #1 (1977), VF/NM, $30

An attractive, clean copy downgraded for defects on the back cover. It's one of those that you need to angle this way and that, but once you do, you can't un-see the areas. Still, very pretty mid to late 70's cartoon cover from the classic Flintstones.

DC Blue Ribbon Digest lot of 3, OW interiors, $40

These are in nice shape but display obvious shelf and handling wear. The covers are stiff, like a paperback, so they don't have a lot of creasing. The spines are in good shape. Nobody has committed the sin of folding back the cover on any of these.

On the Haunted Tank digest, the front lower right corner has some paper pullback, where the paper is separating from the backing. Like the others, it has stacking wear, and you can see the rubbing along the spine on the back cover.

Sgt. Rock's Prize Battle Tales (yellow) has a bend that you will see in hand, on the back cover, lower left corner. It follows the jawline of the soldier on Rock's right.

The Sgt. Rock's Prize Battle Tales with the tank cover is the nicest of the three. The front looks sharp, but when you flip it over and see that haunting image of battle-weary soldiers slogging through a winter storm, you'll be in love. :)

I'm pretty sure I got these from Jimbo. They are digests, so they're little guys, meant to be stuffed in a backpack or pocket. Thankfully, these little guys have been treated kindly by their various owners over the years.

Oh yeah, pictures! Pictures sell comics, not words!
