Anybody know what's going on with MyComicShop listings on eBay? 2 2

Just noticed that MyComicShop has 53 listings on eBay. There are typically thousands at any given time. Anybody know if this is a move away from eBay?

Maybe they are updating their eBay store.  There is only 1 listing there now.  The store looks different than I remember, but I haven't been there recently.  Very "golden" now: http://www.ebaystores.com/mycomicshop

Nothing mentioned on Facebook about it. They have been moving a ton of stuff over to their own auction site, but I have no idea if it is related or not.

I almost never buy anything from MCS on eBay any more, it's cheaper to go to their own site.  The only recent exception was when I had a $25 eBay coupon.  I wonder if they've been getting diminishing returns from posting almost everything there?

I bought my Superman #75 SS from them on eBay. For whatever reason, it was cheaper than directly from their site. May have had a coupon at the time, too...

Seems odd that all their listings are ended. With the thousands they had ongoing, they had to purposely end all their listings rather than let them expire. That's a lot of comic listings gone from eBay. They had over 400,000 feedback. Maybe they were being forced into managed payments so they decided to opt out?

I spoke to Skylar and they are doing some long overdue maintenance of their Ebay shop and it should be up and back to normal early next week.

It's a big update we've been working on. Addressing multiple things--biggest has to do with a change eBay made several months ago, where all listings continue indefinitely rather than expiring after 30 days. There are benefits to that change and eBay had good reasons for doing it, but it had some minor undesirable impacts on our ability to keep our inventory 100% correctly synced up with eBay. Those changes meant that sometimes we'd end up with orphaned items that were still live on eBay that we didn't know about and might no longer be available. We're changing some of the plumbing we use to connect our inventory to eBay in a way that should make it a lot easier to eliminate those problems. We couldn't straddle the old way of listing and the new way at the same time, so had to clear all the listings out before we could switch over.

While doing this, we're also making some updates related to shipping to help us get orders delivered to buyers faster, especially if there are increased slow downs at the post office through the holiday season.

Everything should begin reloading back to eBay later today, and once everything gets caught up we'll have everything listed on eBay that we had before.
