Nightmare 22 VF+ 8.5 $55.  A collage of prior covers make up the background with the werewolf by Faba bursting through.  A cool interior cover portrait of many of the Skywald contributors.  There is a Tomb of Horror introduction this issue, pointing to another title that never made it to the stands. SOLD TO TAYLORG

Nightmare 23 F/VF 7.0 $30.  The gruesome Santa on the cover kind of sums up my feelings about trying to find a high grade copy of this mag.  Scary.  Also billed on the front as the 1975 Winter Special, this is indeed the final issue.  They tease several new things inside, but clearly the end must have come quickly, as none of them ever saw the light of day.  SOLD TO JRBAXTER

Nightmare 1973 Winter Special VF/NM 9.0 $90.  The picture frame Ken Kelly cover is a real eye grabber with that unusual orange-brown surrounding a haunting image.  “Beware it…. Fear it… It Screams!” along with lots of other fun stories.  A review of “Dr. Phibes Rises Again” that makes me want to go back and watch it.  If you are into this sort of thing, if you grade this copy, it should give you the second highest encased copy.  SOLD TO NERV
