Bought CGC Slab on EBay, is this a crack? 1 1

Hi, I’m new to the slab game, own a few, but this is my first that I haven’t had graded by myself or my brother. I just received this book. Book was only released this June so it’s a very recent grading and perhaps there was a change cgc made to their slabs that I am unaware of, that and The shape of the possible crack is very symmetrical so I’m completely stumped. Not sure why CGC would add this however as it is visually unappealing.

The big curved trapezoidal thing holds the book in place better if that's what you're referring to. They use them on an as needed basis, if they feel it needs to be more secure.

I actually just came to delete this because I looked up the other sales on eBay and indeed all the pictures of other graded books have the same thing. 
 

I guess I’ll leave up in case anyone has the same confusion that I had.
