There's a lot of mental hoops to jump through to justify posting on eBay to show off your collection like that.  If you want others to see your one of a kind books, go post them to a FB group or Instagram or Twitter.

Or MySlabbedComics.com where you can add the SS books to the existing Signed Comics database.

For those who are a little slow on the uptake, this is a click bait listing by eastcoastmatt (which he stated).  It is NOT to show off the comic.  It is to have a listing you might bump into, see some outrageous price, go "wow, what's that about?", and check it out.  Then of course you MUST want to check out all his other listings.  It's like the casino with the grilled cheese sandwich that looks like the Virgin Mary.  You just got to see it (NOT).

To make it even better, Matt got lucky and the artist didn't recognize her own signature.  Then he posts the "unusual situation" on the boards, getting some more clicks.  He's generating his own buzz at the expense of your index finger and reading time.  Do you really care about this in the first place?  The longer this stays alive, the better Matt likes it.  Ignore it and it might just slink away.  Unless Matt comes up with a new angle.

I've never once clicked on such an eBay listing.  If someone posts a $10,000 X-Force #1, what on earth would lead a person to believe that the rest of their listings are any more reasonable?

Yeah, yy initial reaction would be this seller is completely unreasonable and I wouldn't be anxious to even look at his other stuff. Seems like a weird marketing ploy, but what do I know.

Waitaminnit...can ANY of us summon comic creators to the Boards simply by hurling around needless accusations?

Let's see...

SERGIO ARAGONES STOLE MY SILVERWARE AND FINE CHINA BUT DENIES EVER BEING IN MY HOME!

Now we play the waiting game...

Man I can't believe Sergio did that!

Reminds me of the time Barry Windsor-Smith bought the last Diet Coke out of the vending machine at a con in 1998 after cutting in front of me!  Barry, come and make that right!!

:nyah:
