BG82 Posted November 13, 2020 Share Posted November 13, 2020 Hey Forum Folks, So about to submit my first batch to CGC and this is the one book I'm fighting myself to not send, its got issues. Its far from a bad looking book, but I have comics in better shape that would likely benefit more from a grade if it goes how I'm thinking. Notable Issues; Spine corners are okay but not great. If they were the only issue, I'd expect a 9.0/9.2 Outside page corners are good, didn't attach individual photos, I'm pleased there. Counting 7 or 8 ticks along the spine that come into the FC though. So with the just the 2 corner issues and these, I'd narrow my score to an 8.0 Page color is probably on the poor side of off white. No affect here on score IMO seeing where its at.. Some smearing of the black inks on the top left corner where the price is, not sure if this is production issue or an age/handling issue. Green mark on the front cover on the letter K, looks like maybe a marker or something hit it at some point. This wouldn't possible come clear from the dry clean process would it? This is where my personal opinion lands this book at a 7.0 with all the combined issues. Am I being too critical? TLDR: I think this book would land at a 7.0/7.5 and I shouldn't waste the time/money.
