F For Fake Posted November 19, 2020 Share Posted November 19, 2020 (edited) When I see "unread original owner" collections for sale, my gut instinct is to assume VFNM at best. Even purchased new off of the racks, comics have to pass through so many hands, from the printer to the distributor to the shipper to the store to the rack, most books never had a shot at NM or better. And add to that the storage condition possibilities. Not enough info to draw a firm conclusion, but as a thought exercise, yeah, VFNM 9.0 at best, and I'd expect worse.
