I’m asking to see what people see from the scans and or know from reading the graded notes. I can’t see any defects from quick glances.

Not sure what the grader notes say, but the main things I noticed are some areas with chipped pieces missing and a descended bottom staple. Also the bottom right corner is slightly rounded.

If it hammered today we’d have the third highest selling funny book ?  Need to get to 2.2 to get to # 2 ??

It’s currently #4. Needs to break $2,052,000 to be #3. The top 3 are:

Action 1 9.0 (2014)= $3,207,852

Action 1 9.0 (2011)= $2,161,000

Action 1 8.5 (2018)= $2,052,000

Honestly, it’s kinda cool to see a book potentially unseat the consistent trend of Action 1’s taking the top spots. I really hope this at least takes out the 8.5. A little diversity would be nice 🙂.

Besides the slight edge chipping which is pretty apparent and the rounded corner which doesn't really bother me that much, is that just the usual wear in the red area on the bottom right or is that possibly a corner crease that's been pressed out?  hm  (shrug)

Then again, don't think it's a corner crease since it's not a straight line, but quite a bit of wear for a CGC 9.4 when you include the edge chipping on the right and small chip out at the bottom.  Of course, the Heritage "real world" scanner colors definitely makes it look like a strong CGC 9.4.

At the going rate, #2 and #3 spots are seriously compromised.

Wouldn't it be something if it dethrones the AC1 9.0 white, all it would take is 2 BSDs to go at it.

Metro would be ticked lol

That would be nuts if this took the #1 spot, of all things a Batman 1 🤯. At this point though, anything feels possible. I definitely agree spots 2 and 3 are vulnerable.

Well, probably Yes and No as it would most likely help to push this CGC 8.0 graded copy which they have in their upcoming Event Auction to a record price for the condition grade:  :luhv:

It just goes to show the power of the single highest graded. Personally I put a little more importance on the actual book than the grade probably than many people. Action 1 is Action 1 and is really in a league of its own. I would rather own any one of those three you listed above over this Bats 1. Luckily I'm poor so I don't have to worry about it. If I was in the running of this current auction I'd be a nervous wreck right now.

I'm sensing a pattern here. Lol

this Bat 1 now most likely seems to exceed the sale price of the third and second highest selling Action 1. That indicates to me that real world pressure is about to put Bats in the front seat.

Yep. But I wonder what both the 9.0's would go for now. I'd say about 4 million for the white one and 3 million for the creamy one. Maybe more.

Wow.  Wonder how Mr Mint feels looking at this knowing he had 25 — or was it 40 — uncirculated ‘52 Mickey cards in The Find!.  Wonder if he kept any... or how many..
