Is it normal to find an artist that you like, get them to do to the sketch cover, even if they aren't involved in the book or character? or do you stick to artists that worked on the book? Webhead2018 Posted April 16, 2021 Share Posted April 16, 2021 I say do what ever you like. I always go for artists I like and then have a blank for what ever book I want a sketch done on. I find that it is very normal, and rather common (especially if you have an odd character.) I have started to get a reputation as being the Scooby guy. That being said, they only ever made one Scooby blank for Apocalypse and I prefer the classic Scooby over the version in the book. I say if the blank matches the theme of your commission go for it.
