Fraction and Aja work well together.  Immortal Iron Fist is worth looking at too.

I read that in floppies. The Immortal Iron Fist Omnibus is hopelessly out of print.

I once owned all the comics from a collection I bought and admit the books interested me and I wanted to read them.

It’s worth reading and probably still available in TPB.

DD 177-180

Always hated the cover to 177, which is probably why I don’t remember reading it before.  DD searches out his old mentor Stick in hopes he can help restore his radar sense. This issue could have been done better, but not terrible.

Powerman & Ironfist show up in 178.  Again, could have been better. I did enjoy the interaction between DD & IF though.

179 & 180 started to deliver the goods again building up to 181.   I was blown away by 181 when I plucked it from the stands the day it came out.  Almost the whole book is burned in my brain.  Look forward to revisiting it this afternoon....

i had the same reaction to reading 181 when it came out. Arguably my all time favorite single issue read.

Finished the Tick Omnibus and I recommend it highly.  Really fun reading, very campy and pokes fun at other superheros. 6/1000

Tick Omnibus TPB #1-REP

Such a good story. Are you going to read the rest of the original run? If so, make sure you also read "Tick The Pseudo Edition #13," which closes out the series after many years of waiting.

Yes I will definitely finish out the series.  Thanks for the tip!

38 comics so far this year.

Wrapped up the main AoA storyline with X-Men Omega! We are going to go back and read some of the backup stories next X-Men Chronicles and X-Universe.

I started reading the original Marvel Conan run...with a twist. I'm a big Conan fan, but I've never read any of the original Marvel Conan comics. I had the pleasure of meeting Roy Thomas ~2 years ago at a show, and he was selling his new book, "Barbarian Life: A Literary Biography of Conan the Barbarian." I got it signed with a Conan head sketch. After a few pages of intro about how the series came to be, Thomas gives a 2-3 page discussion about each issue. Ever wonder why Barry Windsor was the artist? How did Marvel end up with the Conan license? All explained in the book and it's very interesting. So after I finish each issue, I am reading the corresponding entry in the book. The Conan Saga #1 magazine reprints issues #1-3 in black and white. I'll read Conan Saga #2 next, which is issues #4-6. But that's all I have. I know there are Dark Horse reprints and Marvel Omnis, but I don't know if I'm ready to drop that amount of money on the run, given how much I have to read at the moment. Maybe I'll get them at a show in the future for a good price. BTW, there is a volume 2 for Barbarian Life, which I also have. I'll get it autographed by Thomas next time I see him.

DD 181

Completely agree.  Just finished reading it, and it’s still the best.   Always loved the brief Punisher appearance in the yard.  The book is great from start to finish.

This book hooked me in 1982 and I bought it off the stands.  Still have it.  Great work by Miller.
