The late fifties to the early seventies is considered the Sliver Age of Comics and an incredible creative time for the medium . Much has been said about the Marvel age but equally important was what was going on over at National Periodicals or more commonly referred to as DC.
Here are 5 books for DC fans and silver age comics fans in general .This lot focuses on the primary architects of those great DC comics.All books are soft cover and in great shape.

“Amazing World of Infantino”(“8.5 x 10.5”,color gallery VG +) Carmine Infantino started the silver age with his reintroduction of “Flash” developed  Adam Strange and the “New Look” Batman. In between his elegant artwork graced covers,interiors of just about every DC book.

“Gil Kane the Art of Comics”(“8.5 x 11”,color gallery VG -) He brought to life the Green Lantern, the Atom and like Infantino his graced covers,interiors of just about every DC book and later Marvel.

“The Life and Art of Murphy Anderson (“11x8.5”,color gallery Vg-) As an artist and as an inker participated in every big moment in DC history . Here’s his life early  works and his greatest moments in one volume.

“Man of Two Worlds ,Julius Schwartz” signed (5.5” x 8” VG +)Credited with creating the Super Hero mythology of the time , Schwartz as editor, worked with all the great artists and here is the inside story .A good read!

“Showcase Presents Strange Adventures” ( 10” X 7”VG +) The classic pre-hero book that showcased all of the above and other artists in a variety of Science Fiction sagas featuring Aliens,Monsters ,Gorillas and everything we loved from the time period .
