PGM ASM 15 <===== THE GRADE IS IN =====> 0

Hi all — Posting some books for your kind consideration... 

PGM ASM 15 - I bought this at a show some years back, obvious flaws are the sub crease, edge wear and corner chip on the FC and edge chips and a small piece missing from the corner on the BC.  Note the attempt to clean a pencil/pen mark by Spidey’s boot.  Does this impact the grade?  I swear it wasn’t me, they still don’t trust me with safety scissors, let alone a pencil eraser.  Otherwise, it’s a nice glossy book that lays flat.  The picture of the corner with the missing piece was a very fine shot of the table and not much else, unfortunately.

a press will improve the look of the book by getting out the finger bends but won’t affect grade by much if at all. The color breaks, tears and missing piece are the major factors but they can’t be improved

I just joined this forum, but have been grading my own books and noticing what grade go for raw books on ebay (usually overrated) and on sites like myComicshop and Heritage, which purport to have there own "professional" graders. Based on what I've seen from such graders I was thinking 7.0 until I noticed the chip out on bottom and thought 6.5. Then considered back cover more and went to 6.0 Maybe I am too optimistic or the "professional" graders are.

Sound thinking. Grading is a process. Notice this, notice that, as you see more, your initial impression will change. Normal. Like painting a picture, grading is an art, not a science, and opinions will vary depending on the subjectivity of the beholder's eye. Very good job. I'm at 5.0, possible 5.5 depending upon how that press affects the sub-like crease.

6.0 at best.  A clean/press is worth the investment too...

Looks like somewhere between a 5.0 and a 6.0.  My personal grade had it at 5.5, so right in line with everyone here.  

I gave everyone a little love for their comments and suggestions.  Appreciate the feedback!
